Your must-see sessions, tours and Dublin hotspots

The FEDESSA Conference is landing soon in Dublin, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest yet.

Packed with fresh ideas, new tech, and plenty of Irish craic, it’s a week you won’t want to miss.

To help you make the most of it, here’s our recommendations on the best sessions, tours and city highlights (including some hot recommendations from our own native Dubliner).

Tuesday Highlights

11:30am – 2.00pm | Stora Summit
Kick things off with rugby legend turned Stripe growth lead Jamie Heaslip and Gavin Shields (Stora) at the Stora Summit, designed to help operators grow faster, use tech smarter, and future-proof their businesses.

The event takes place at the Dublin Convention Centre and will explore practical approaches to accelerating revenue growth, along with digital strategies that operators can start using right away.

Attendees will also get a first look at Stora’s exciting upcoming product features!

(And of course there’ll be free food, drinks, and plenty of networking before the official FEDESSA facility tours begin).

2pm – 5.30pm | Facility Tours
Want to see how others do it?

The facility tours are a great chance to get behind the scenes at some of Dublin’s top-performing facilities. From design to operations, see how these successful sites run and get ideas to raise the bar at your own facility.

Venues:

  • U Store It Liffey Valley: Step inside U Store It’s brand-new Liffey Valley facility and the scale immediately strikes you (150,000 sq. ft. across more than 2,500 storage units). The space is modern, bright, and built with sustainability in mind. You’ll notice the mix of thoughtful details: 24/7 secure access systems, EV charging points, and a layout designed to be both practical and impressive.

  • Nesta Self Storage Santry: Visiting Nesta Santry, you quickly get a sense of heritage and scale. As Ireland’s oldest and largest self storage provider (family-run since 1989) the site blends decades of experience with a modern approach to space.

  • Storage World Sandyford: At Storage World Sandyford, you’ll step into a smart, tech-led facility that feels ahead of its time. It’s sleek, sustainable, and designed with simplicity at its core. This isn’t storage as we know it: it’s a glimpse of the future.

  • Nesta Self Storage Churchtown: Nesta’s Churchtown facility feels like more than just a storage site as it’s a combination of self storage and a business hub. You’ll see rows of secure units alongside modern office spaces, all in a well-connected South Dublin location.

Full tour details of the tours can be found here.

Wednesday Highlights

9.15am – 10am | How Your Attitude Controls Your Success
The conference talks kicks off on the Wednesday and we think this is the perfect one to start with. Jamil Qureshi, performance psychologist to NASA astronauts and elite athletes, will explore how your mindset shapes success.

Expect plenty of practical tools and thought-provoking ideas to help you approach challenges differently. A great one if you’re looking for ways to sharpen your competitive edge.

3pm – 3.30pm | Technology for Independent Operators
Is this the best talk of the entire conference? Ok, maybe we’re being biased… In this session Stora CEO Gavin Shields will share how independent operators can use software and automation to take on the major players in self storage. Think David vs Goliath… with a laptop.

4pm – 4.45pm | An Influencer’s Self Storage Journey
A fascinating session here with author and influencer Louise Pentland (6M+ followers) who will share her first-hand experience as a self storage customer. It’s a rare chance to hear how new customers perceive the industry.

If you’re keen to improve your customer journey and spot fresh opportunities, this one could spark some great ideas.

5.30pm – 6.30pm | Drinks in the Trade Show
This one sells itself… drinks, a chance to unwind, and time to meet new people in a friendly, informal setting.

A relaxed way to wrap up the first full day before diving into day two.

Thursday Highlights

11.45am – 12.30pm | The Best in Self Storage Marketing
To start the last day of the conference, we’d recommend heading to this morning session where three of the sharpest marketing minds in our industry, Jill Leckie, Robbie Cameron and Christel Land reveal the campaigns that really moved the needle.

Expect a whole bunch of ideas you can steal and apply directly to your own business.

The Trade Show

While you’re there, be sure to check out the trade show. Meet exhibitors, chat with software providers (come and say hi to us at the Stora stand!), explore smart access solutions, and discover other partners and suppliers who can help take your self storage business to the next level.

You’re guaranteed to leave with new connections, tools/ideas for your business and a bag load of free swag!

7.30pm – 11.30pm | FEDESSA Awards Dinner

The awards dinner is always one of the best evenings at FEDESSA. It’s your chance to celebrate the achievements and innovations shaping the self storage industry, raise a toast to standout operators and suppliers, and enjoy an evening of good food, conversation, and entertainment.

Whether you’re there to cheer on colleagues or simply soak up the atmosphere, it promises to be a memorable night.

Rob’s Dublin Hotlist
With so many inspiring talks, exhibitors, and networking opportunities, we know you’ll have a fantastic time at FEDESSA. But if you find a little downtime, our Head of Sales and proud Dubliner, Rob Sweeney, has a few personal recommendations to help you soak up the city:

Pubs:

Restaurants:

  • FX Buckley“Legendary steaks done right. A must for anyone who thinks a good meal is part of any conference experience.”

  • Host“Modern dining with great vibes. Fantastic if you want something a bit stylish after a day of talks.”

  • Bunsen“Casual, simple, brilliant burgers. Quick, tasty, and just what you need if you like burgers, fries, and shakes.”

For a bit of craic:

“Start on Baggot Street, then wander down to Dawson Street for a late-night buzz at Café En Seine. It’s the perfect spot to wrap up an evening of networking, music, laughter, and maybe even a dance if you’re brave enough!” - Rob Sweeney

That’s our insider guide to FEDESSA 2025. We can’t wait to see so many of you there, whether it’s at the Stora Summit, at our exhibition stand, or just over a pint at the trade show drinks.

If you see us, don’t be shy, we love hearing what you’re working on, swapping stories, and sharing a bit of good Irish craic together.
